Q: Can I combine discounts? A: All purchases through surplusbydesign.com can only have one coupon code applied to the purchase. Multiple coupon codes cannot be processed by the site. This includes associate purchases, which cannot be combined with any other discount requiring a discount code at checkout.
Q: Can I price Match? A: We do not offer any price matching. This includes all purchases made on surplusbydesign.com prior to any sale or sale event, such as Boxing Day or Black Friday.
Q: Are there quantity limits? A: During busy periods such as holiday's or special advertised items we may set limits on the total quantity of each sku that you can purchase in a single transaction. We set these limits to allow all our customers the opportunity to purchase sale items.
Q: Will there be taxes on my unit? A: All domestic purchases will be subjected to taxes. Tax rates will be reflective of the province of residence of the buyers. Tax registration numbers will be provided upon request. International buyers will not be subjected to additional taxes.
Q: What is your return policy? A: Our Return policy only covers items that are DOA, or not as described. You have 30 days of receiving the item to let us know what troubles you are having and that you would to start a return. We will not accept returns without contacting us first. Once we receive the item, we will either exchange or fully refund. Returned items not covered by this policy will be subjected to a 10% restocking fee.
Q: Do you offer warranties? A: We strictly offer a 30 day return on all our units. We cannot guarantee any further or existing manufacturer warranty. We do not offer extended warranties on any of our items for purchase.
Q: Will there be brokerage fees on my purchase? A: Brokerage fees will not be charged by Canada Post upon delivery, however there may be duty and taxes outstanding. These fees are in no way remitted to SurplusbyDesign. Canadian buyers will have no additional fees added to their shipping and will not face any fees to pay upon delivery.
Q: When can I expect my order to arrive? A: We do not guarantee shipping times, however shipments go out within 1 business day of receiving payment, and tracking numbers are provided via email.
Q: How much is the Shipping and Handling Charge? A: Shipping is provided by UPS and costs are calculated prior to checkout and can be reviewed before purchasing the item. Additional shipping fees may apply to areas that UPS doesn't service. Our customer service team will contact you prior to shipping your item if this applies to your location. All paid items are shipped within 1-2 business days (not weekends) Once the shipment is made you will receive a tracking number to follow your package.

Q: Are the photos in the listing of the actual unit? A: All photos are stock photos of the products. As our products come in many different conditions, we have moved to a grading system that defines the characteristics of the condition of the items that you are purchasing. All our products continue to undergo the same rigorous testing to ensure you know what you are buying.
Q: What does "Recovery partition not intact" mean? A: The recovery partition is a section of the HDD that has been separated at the factory. This section contains an image of the computer as it was originally configured. It can be used to restore the computer to its factory condition or repair the operating system. If the partition is not intact, it will not affect the daily performance of the unit.
